Reback is a place for genuine business between buyers and sellers. This policy keeps it safe by setting clear limits on how the Services may be used.
1. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out what you may and may not do when using Reback. It is part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses the Services, including sellers, staff users and buyers. Because Reback facilitates payments and holds funds in escrow, misuse can cause real financial harm — so we enforce this policy actively.
2. General rules
You must:
- use the Services only for lawful purposes and genuine transactions;
- provide accurate information and complete required verification;
- honour your obligations to your counterparties (deliver what you invoice for; pay for what you receive); and
- respect the rights, privacy and safety of others.
3. Prohibited activities
You must not use Reback to:
- break the law, or facilitate any illegal activity, anywhere the Services are used;
- commit fraud or deception, including fake invoices, fake shipments, triangulation, or misrepresenting who you are or what you sell;
- launder money, finance terrorism, evade sanctions, or move the proceeds of crime (see our AML & KYC Statement);
- infringe intellectual-property rights or sell counterfeit goods;
- abuse the escrow or dispute system — for example collusive or circular transactions, self-dealing between accounts you control, or raising bad-faith disputes;
- circumvent, probe or disrupt our security, verification, risk or rate-limiting controls, or attempt unauthorised access to any system or account;
- upload malware, or scrape, harvest or reverse-engineer the Services except as permitted by law;
- harass, threaten, defame or harm others, or misuse others’ personal data; or
- impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
4. Prohibited and restricted businesses
You may not use Reback for the following categories, and others we may designate. Some categories may be permitted only with prior written approval and appropriate licensing:
- illegal goods or services, including illegal drugs and paraphernalia;
- weapons, ammunition, explosives and related controlled items;
- counterfeit, stolen or IP-infringing goods;
- unlicensed financial services, money-transmission, or virtual-currency services;
- pyramid, Ponzi, multi-level-marketing or other “get-rich-quick” schemes;
- gambling, betting and lotteries where not properly licensed for the jurisdiction;
- adult content and services where restricted or unlawful;
- human exploitation, endangered species and other prohibited or regulated wildlife products; and
- any activity our payment or financial partners prohibit, or that creates unacceptable legal, regulatory or reputational risk.
The definitive, country-specific list of prohibited and restricted business categories — including how it aligns with our payment partners’ rules — is [to be confirmed by legal/compliance].
5. Developer and API use
If you use Reback’s APIs, you must stay within published rate limits and usage terms, keep your API keys secret, not use the APIs to build a competing product by bulk-extracting data, and not use them to circumvent our controls. We may throttle, suspend or revoke API access that threatens the stability, security or integrity of the Services.
6. Enforcement
If we reasonably believe you have breached this AUP, we may — with or without notice, depending on the risk — remove content, restrict features, hold or reverse funds, freeze, suspend or terminate your account, and report the matter to payment partners, regulators or law enforcement. Serious breaches, especially those involving fraud or financial crime, may be acted on immediately. Enforcement under this AUP is in addition to our rights under the Terms.
7. Reporting a violation
If you believe someone is misusing Reback, please report it through the Reback support portal or contact us through the Reback support portal. Provide as much detail as you can so we can investigate.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “last updated” date, and material changes take effect as described in our Terms.
